Candle of Invocation

A powerful spiritual tool for a deeper connection to the divine, this candle manifests wealth and prosperity in your life. It can also be used to boost your luck, bolstering your chances of success in your business ventures. This candle is associated with courage, and igniting it can give you the confidence to make bold moves in your career.

This slender taper is dedicated to one of the gods of magic and radiates that god’s alignment. A creature whose alignment matches the candle’s (or, at the Narrator’s discretion, an allied deity) adds a +2 morale bonus to attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks while within 30 feet of it. A cleric who burns the candle during or just prior to its spell preparation time operates as if two levels higher for purposes of casting spells, and can cast any 1st-level spell normally unavailable to them without expending a spell slot.

In addition, a spellcaster can meditate around a burning candle for up to 4 hours. If he or she does so, he or she gains an additional 1st- through 6th-level spell slot that disappears after a day of use (or when the candle runs out of magic).

The candle can be used to invoke a Gate, but this consumes the candle. A cleric can also use it to summon a djinni, granting the wish of any creature within range. If the character wishes for an item or tame a monster, the djinni grants it to them immediately; otherwise, the character must choose a target from another menu.
