Candle Queen is an antagonist in a gacha series called The Reckoning All-stars. She is a sadistic and cruel tyrant who wants revenge on Zorgo for killing her parents. She calls him and Serena into a tournament alongside a clone of Sahkrine and her servant, Bad Lucks in order to kill them. She is also a deceitful and manipulative character who uses her position for personal gain.
On paper, candle queen gacha life looks like the perfect kid-friendly app – cute outfits, fun anime characters, and mini-games featuring a character riding a narwhal. But the game has built a dark reputation online, with a toxic user community and themes that raise the hairs on the back of the neck. In addition to a large collection of “gacha” items and in-app purchases, ads and data collection, the app’s Life mode features NPCs that can be customized with facial features and clothes and posing in scenes.
But the most disturbing element of the game is its Studio feature, which allows players to create videos and stories with characters that can be viewed by other users. This content can be extremely upsetting for kids, and searches on YouTube for “gacha life” sex, porn or other adult content often result in results with sexual imagery, violence, and dominant and abusive relationships.
