Different Types of Candle Pillar Holders

For most of us who are candle makers or candle enthusiasts, one of the things we enjoy most is being able to make candles in various shapes and sizes out of various kinds of candle pillars. Some of the most common and popular candle pillars that most people are familiar with are the Christmas candle pillars. These types of candle pillars are very popular during the Christmas season, as people get to decorate their homes, shops and windows with these wonderful and colorful candles. However, there is a lot more to candle pillars than just candles and decorations. Indeed, it is possible to earn some money from them.

To start off, you need to understand the three different categories of candle holders – the stand-alone candle holder, the candle pendant and the tea cozy. Each of these types of candle holders has its own unique qualities, but they are all built around one base – the candle holder. This base, of course, is the candle pillar. The bottom of the candle holder is called the “sink”.

The stand-alone candle holders are the easiest to work with. All that you need to do is to insert the wick into the hole, screw an appropriate sized screw into the top of the pillar, and then attach the candle to the wick. Of course, this is the least difficult option. For something a little more complex, you can go with the “teapot pillar”, which is a little bit more complicated, but also creates some really nice effects, especially if you add some water. These types of candle holders are great for putting in front of a fire, or any other kind of stovetop.

Another type of candle holders – the candle pendants – can be made out of a number of materials, but wood and glass are two of the most popular choices. Wood candle holders can range from simple, molded creations (almost like fish bowls) to real, carved pieces that look almost like art. These candle pendants typically have a candle attached at the bottom, so that when it burns, that bottom candle will burn too. If you want to create a truly unique candle holder, then this might be the way to go.

Glass candle holders are a bit more complicated but also look beautiful. Basically, there are two options here: one is to use glass – the clear variety – and the other is to use crystal. Both of these types of candle holders are very attractive and can be quite decorative if you choose the right color for your candle holder. For a truly unique design, try making your own stand-alone piece of glass.

One final type of candle holder is called the candle pendant. A candle pendant is like its stand-alone brother, but instead of holding a candle, it holds a wick. Generally, you can’t burn anything underneath the candle holder itself, but it does allow you to accentuate the area where the candle is. To do so, you can put in a beautiful glass candle holder that is also stand-alone.
