Types of Candle Jars

Candle jars are an essential part of candle making. They help keep the wick centered and secure, and they also help prevent spills when you’re transporting candles.

There are different types of jars, and they each have unique benefits. Some, like glass and concrete jars, are more durable and won’t leak. Others, like aluminum tins, are convenient for worldwide and long-distance shipping.

Glass jars for candles are made from tempered and heat-resistant glass that is thick and strong to withstand the pressure of the candle’s flame. They’re BPA-free and don’t contain lead, so they’re a great choice for your products.

They also come in many different shapes, sizes, and applications. Some are designed to fit specific wicks, while others have wide spouts or a narrow mouth for easy pouring.

Some are even microwave-safe, which is pretty awesome for melting wax pieces quickly. Swan Creek, for example, sells a microwavable tub that contains all the wax you need to make a large batch of candles.

You can use leftover candle wax to make new candles, too. Mix it with the clean-out jars (and any other wax you have on hand), then heat it in a microwave in one-minute increments until it’s completely melted.

You can also use upcycled jars as storage for bath items, such as cotton swabs or hair-ties. They also make great vessels for bitters, which are commonly used in cocktails, and other small ingredients, including sugar, salt, and spices.
